Weekends are not the same everywhere. Parts of the Gulf rest on Friday and Saturday. Much of the world rests on Saturday and Sunday, and plenty of teams run six days. So this counter asks which days you work rather than assuming.

How to use it
Step 1
Pick the first and last day of the period. Both ends are included, so a single date entered twice counts as one day.
Step 2
Tick the weekdays your team works. Nothing is ticked by default, because there is no right default.
Step 3
Read the working-days figure. It counts your weekdays before any holiday comes off.
Step 4
Take off each holiday that lands on a day you work. A holiday on a rest day costs nothing, so leave it out.
Questions people ask
What happens when a holiday falls on a weekend?
Nothing comes off. A rest day was already free, so subtracting it would remove capacity that never existed. Only take off holidays that land on a day you work.
Can I count a six-day week?
Yes. Tick six days. The calculator has no view on how long a week should be and will count any combination, including a single day.
Is a substitute or observed day handled?
Yes, if you use the observed date. Some countries move a holiday that falls on a rest day to the next working day. Take that observed day off the working-days figure, not the original date.
