The shift pattern

One long day shift, usually, with named windows rather than a single office start. A morning window and a midday window sit side by side, assigned per person, with a history of who moved when.

How attendance and hours are taken

Two paths for attendance. A ZKTeco fingerprint terminal on the office network, or browser check-in that an admin switches on, open inside each person's shift window. Terminal punches sync on a schedule, and the header says how recently.

Software teams usually care more about the hours than the punch. PeopleMuster keeps both, separately. Attendance answers who was in; the daily recap answers where the day went, logged per project by the person who spent it.

Recaps have a status lifecycle, an approvals queue, and a configurable logging window that limits how far back someone can fill in a week they forgot.

Capacity planning uses the same hours. A grid of person by day is banded under, partial, full and over. Leave and company holidays are already subtracted, so it shows who can take the next sprint.
