Ranked on the published per-person price of a tracked checklist for every joiner and leaver, run on the system that holds the employee's record.

Seven products were compared on 24 September 2026. Prices come from each vendor's own pricing page, and each onboarding line comes from the vendor's own onboarding or product page that day. HR systems that run the checklist on the employee record come first, ordered by per-person price. Process tools that price by team size come next, because the checklist lives apart from the person it's for. Rippling and HiBob publish no price, so they have no place in a price ranking. Personio's onboarding page could not be read that day, so it is left out rather than guessed. Disclosure: PeopleMuster is our product, and it sits where the method puts it.

The same record holds the person's devices, so the laptop handover sits beside the exit steps. We load your people, leave types and projects with you during setup, and there's no setup fee.

Who it suits
A company with staff or contractors in several countries that wants HR records beside global hiring.
Where it wins
HR Core lists worker profiles, workflows, approvals and an org chart, and Deel's HR page says offboarding is built in.
Where it falls short
HR Core is one product in a larger catalogue, and each of the others is bought separately.

Factorial

Who it suits
A European firm that would rather buy HR by the module than by the tier.
Where it wins
Factorial's onboarding page describes a central onboarding flow with e-signature and an employee portal.
Where it falls short
The $8 is a starting point, and the full price needs a conversation with sales. On 24 September 2026 the onboarding page was served in Spanish only.

Who it suits
A US company that wants a long onboarding feature list and can carry a higher per-person price.
Where it wins
BambooHR's onboarding page lists e-signatures, new-hire packet templates, onboarding tasks and checklists, a progress dashboard and offboarding workflows.
Where it falls short
The onboarding page doesn't say which plan includes it, and a team under 26 people pays the flat rate rather than a per-person figure.

How do I run an employee offboarding checklist so nothing gets missed?

Write the exit steps once as a template, give every step an owner, and start a fresh copy for each leaver. In PeopleMuster that copy runs against the person, so you see steps done out of steps total and who hasn't finished. Their assigned laptop and other devices sit on the same record, so the handover is never a separate hunt.

Why are Rippling and HiBob not ranked for onboarding?

Neither publishes a price, and this ranking is by published per-person price. Rippling's HR page says it automates onboarding from offer letters to device shipping. HiBob's Core plan lists lifecycle workflows. Both hold their figures behind a sales conversation, so a price ranking has nowhere to put them.
