Can employees clock in from a web browser without an app?
Employees can clock in from a web browser with PeopleMuster's self-serve check-in, a card on the employee dashboard: check in, then check out, with nothing to install. An administrator switches the card on, and it opens in a window around each person's assigned shift, from 60 minutes before the start to 120 minutes after by default.
Browser check-in answers the question attendance exists for: when did someone start, and when did they finish? Each press writes the real time, measured against the shift that person was assigned. Late minutes and working hours come out exactly as they do from a terminal.
Your window is the control. Check-in opens 60 minutes before the shift and closes 120 minutes after; check-out opens 30 minutes before the shift ends and closes 240 minutes after. All four edges are tenant settings, so a team with a strict start can narrow them and a flexible one can widen them.
Outside the window, the employee raises a manual punch request that HR reviews. Checking out closes the day, and coming back in later goes through the same request. Your everyday path stays one click, and every exception lands in front of a person.
